Modern Day Life in Monument

Monument is a pretty average town... most of the time. We have our moments of craziness and this week was one of them. The whole school was buzzing about the play and about a five minute speech we all had to give in Mr. Masonheimer's class. Even though there was momentary chaos, we managed to put on this play:

That's me there  with the brown shirt and pants. From Left to right: Tabaqui(Sierra), Shere Khan(Bailey), Mowgli (Me), Baloo(Katy on of the ladies that brought it) Wolf in the black(Cade) then little Brown wolf(Jordan)
The whole Cast
The Dailey Trio as Mowgli(Me), Akela(Wilson) and The Head of Kaa(Emily)
Sierra(Tabaqui), Me(Mowgli) and Bailey(Shere Khan)

Sorry All Ya'll!!

Hey all you guys!! Sorry I haven't blogged for a while, busy busy! But I have come to give you news!! Okay so first, on Monday, Missoula Children's theatre came to my school for Auditions for a week of rehersal and at the end, The Jungle Book in musical form!! So we did the whole audition thingy and they called up a group and what they would be. So at the very end, they called me up with my two friends. They told the two that they were Shere Khan and Tabaqui. I knew there was only one character left........ Mowgli!
That's right, I was Mowgli! We had four days to learn our scripts. For me that was half a three-ring-binder of words. Plus songs and choreography! It was super fun! So when last night (Friday) we had from 2:30 to 6:30 to practice the whole thing, our lines and play a couple games. OH! How could I forget makeup? During that time, the two director ladies were calling up name to get makeup on. Being the only human in the show, I got all tan and patches of dirt on my face. It was amazing!
So finally, it was SHOWTIME!!! I started to get nervous for the first time! EEK! But, we got it all done and I did my solo song good (But of course, not very loud) and Shere Khan was AWESOME (She actually looked like a striped teddy bear ha ha) It was fun and my dad got some of it on video so maybe you'll get to see some of it! Well, I'll try to blog more now that I'm less busy so Bye!
     Sincerely,
-Mowgli(aka Charlotte)
